BLOTTER TABS CONTAINING ISOTONITAZENE

Blotter tabs (small squares of paper) have been circulating around the Halifax Regional Municipality and have been found to contain isotonitazene. Isotonitazene is a very potent synthetic opioid. Even in individuals with significant tolerance to opioids, ingestion of isotonitazene could result in an accidental drug poisonings. If possible, avoid ingesting these tabs or use with extreme caution. Using at an Overdose Prevention Site or with a friend that has Naloxone on hand can reduce the likelihood of a fatal drug poisoning.
